CREATION

I suspect that the question of where we came from has haunted mankind since the beginning of consciousness.  I wrote several poems addressing this issue.  The nice thing about poems is they do not have to be logical.  They simply flow from our imagination.  The truth or validity of any poem is ceded to the reader by the author once he lets someone read it.

NO BEGINNING, NO END

Was there a beginning of 'everything there is'?
To have a beginning of 'everything there is' requires that
there be nothing before the beginning.
Can something come from nothing?
There can't be 'nothing' without 'something.'
Just as there can be no 'dark' without 'light,'
No 'wrong' without 'right.'
So if there is 'nothing' before the beginning,
there is also 'something' before the beginning.
And if there is something before, there is no beginning.
And there can be no end without a beginning.
In a total void 'nothing,' 'something,' 'beginning,' 'end'
     have no meaning.
So does 'everything there is' have no beginning, no end?

A  CREATOR?

There can be no Creator of 'everything there is' because
the Creator would have to create itself.
But there can be a creator of something less than that.
Are space, time, energy, mass and the laws of physics
'everything there is' or something less than that?
I don't know.  I don't know.
Are systems of organic molecules synthesized into a life form
something less than 'everything there is?'
Yes, for sure.
There could be a Creator of life!
But is a Creator necessary for the appearance of life on
     our planet?
Or can life be created by evolutionary processes?
I think that's possible.
If the laws and processes of physics and evolution cannot
create life, then there is a Creator of life.
But failing the above condition,
I know no way to prove the Creator of life,
Nor even a reason to suspect there is one.
